MUSIC OF EARLY AMERICA
Ideal for historical organizations, schools and colleges, and living history events
Denise Wilson enjoys a reputation as one of the Midwest's most respected singers of early American Music. Her diverse repertoire brings to life the music of ordinary people in 18th and early 19th century America: French-Canadian paddling songs, military fife tunes, and songs from America and the British Isles. Wilson has shared her authentic historical music at living history events, museums, historical conferences, colleges, and state and national historical societies. With a B.A. in French and a Ph.D. in American History, Denise has a broad knowledge of the culture and history surrounding the music she plays.
