Our Camp
We can't imagine finding a more beautiful setting for our first Harmony Grove gathering than Oakbrook Valley! It is a a 60-acre camp just a few miles from Kokomo, Indiana. You’ll enjoy lovely forests and fields, comfortable cabins (heated and air-conditioned if needed),trails for hiking, and plenty of space for tent camping and campers. The facility has a rustic charm with cabin accommodations for 80.
The camp has a very large main lodge where we will share meals and also sing. Behind it is a large patio overlooking the scenic Wildcat Creek. The bathroom/shower building is newly renovated - spacious and clean! Though there are ample beautiful outdoor spaces for our singing circles if the weather is nice, there are also indoor spaces in case of cool or rainy weather. |
Working Together
At Harmony Grove we’ll all pitch in to help with work tasks that will benefit us all. Each of us can contribute as we’re able to create a welcoming, clean, comfortable space for our community to enjoy while we are together. We’ll need many hands to help with tasks which include: helping our wonderful cook, Ruthie, in the kitchen; cleaning pots and pans; helping with the dish-washing station; keeping bathrooms clean; and tending the coffee/tea and snack station. Working Together to "go light" on our weekend home!
We will be intentional about producing as little waste as possible at Harmony Grove. It’s a small way of expressing our gratitude to the land that sustains us. To that end we will not be using paper or plastic eating utensils, drinking mugs, or bottled water. We appreciate your help in creating as little trash as possible!
